What does your membership do?

Aside from the obvious perk of becoming a member of the world's most international bagpipe community, your membership helps us in several ways.
  • Together, we build a community of bagpipe-interested people from across the world
  • Thanks to you we will be able to create a research fund to support bagpipe-related research (launch planned for 2027)
  • We can organise even better conferences without depending on public funding (see you in Salzburg in 2028!)
  • We are expanding the IBO board to accommodate new activity
  • We are in the process of launching the "Bagpipe of the Season" online event, where experts from around the world are invited to talk about their instrument 2 to 3 times a year.
